He won his first Grand Slam singles title at the 2008 Australian Open. After beating World No. 1 and defending champion Roger Federer in the semi-finals, Djokovic defeated Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the final, becoming the first player representing Serbia to win a Grand Slam singles title and the youngest player in the open era to have reached the semifinals of all four Grand Slam events. He was the runner-up at the 2007 US Open and won the bronze medal in singles representing Serbia at the 2008 Olympic Games. He won the Tennis Masters Cup in 2008 and has won four Masters Series tournaments.

(born August 30, 1982) is an American professional tennis player, and a former World No. 1. He is a hardcourt specialist who also plays well on grass.

He is the 6th-ranked player in the world, and the top-ranked American player, as of March 23, 2009. He became a Grand Slam singles champion when he won the title at the 2003 U.S. Open. Roddick has reached three other Grand Slam finals (Wimbledon twice, and the U.S. Open), losing to Roger Federer each time. He and Federer are the only players to have finished the season in the ATP top 10 each of the past seven years. ( born June 2, 1981 in Severodonetsk, Ukrainian SSR, Soviet Union) is a Russian[1] tennis player of Ukrainian descent. He is, as of November 10, 2008, the top ranked male player for Russia, 11th in the world, and the winner of fourteen ATP singles titles.

Davydenko's best result in a Grand Slam tournament has been reaching the semi-finals, which he has done on four occasions - twice each at the French Open and the U.S. Open.

Juan Martín del Potro

(born September 23, 1988) is an Argentine professional tennis player who is the highest-ranked Argentine and the 5th-ranked player in the world.[1] Del Potro achieved a top 10 ranking by the Association of Tennis Professionals for the first time on October 6, 2008. In April 2009, he reached a career-high ranking of World No. 5.

In August 2008, he became the first player in ATP history to win his first four career titles in as many tournaments.[2] He also completed the second longest winning streak in 2008, and the second longest by a teenager in the open era, behind Rafael Nadal — with his winning sequence spanning 23 matches over five tournaments.

Blake is known for his speed and powerful, flat forehand. He reached the final of the 2006 Tennis Masters Cup but lost to the then World No. 1 Roger Federer in straight sets. On July 3, 2007, Blake's book, Breaking Back: How I Lost Everything and Won Back My Life, discussing his comeback after his unlucky 2004 season, was released and debuted at #22 on the New York Times Best Seller list. Jo-Wilfried Tsonga

(born April 17, 1985(1985-04-17)) is a French professional tennis player. He is currently ranked 9th in the world.

Born in Le Mans, Tsonga has a French mother, Évelyne, and a Congolese father, Didier, who moved to France in the 1970s to play handball. He has a cousin, Charles N'Zogbia, who plays football for Wigan Athletic as a midfielder. Tsonga is a member of the Tennis Club de Paris (TCP) a famous club in Paris, France.

Tsonga recently rose to fame by virtue of his performance in the 2008 Australian Open when, as an unseeded player, he reached the final, having defeated four seeded players along the way, including earning a straight sets win over the then world number 2 Rafael Nadal in the semifinals. Tsonga eventually lost to world number 3 Novak Djokovic in the final in 4 sets, after winning the first set, the only set Djokovic dropped during the 2008 Australian Open.

Fernando Francisco González Ciuffardi

He is known for having one of the hardest hitting forehands in the circuit.[1] In Spanish he is called El bombardero de La Reina ("The La Reina Bomber") and Mano de Piedra ("Stone Hand"). The English-language media has labeled him "Gonzo."

González is one of the few active players to have reached at least the quarterfinal round of all four Grand Slam tournaments. He played his first major final at the 2007 Australian Open, losing to top-ranked Roger Federer. He is the fourth male tennis player in history to have won each Olympic medal (gold in doubles and bronze in singles at Athens, and silver in singles at Beijing).
